Music Development Plan

At Thackley Primary School we aim to provide an extensive, diverse and progressive music curriculum for all children within our school. We want children to use the knowledge, skills and vocabulary learnt in the music curriculum to develop a love of music. Music is such a key feature in our day to day lives from big celebrations to simply singing along with the car radio. Music brings people together in a way that other subjects do not. We want children to have the confidence and skills to perform to an audience. It is important that our music curriculum builds upon each progressive year group to build skills and knowledge to a high level. We continue to strive to ensure all our pupils reach high standards in performing, playing, composing and listening & appraising.
